ACNE CLEAR PROGRAMME

THE SKIN PHARMACY’s ACNE TREATMENT PROGRAMME is a complete care for individuals with acne-prone skin. The programme begins with a professional consultation with the pharmacist to ensure the most appropriate treatment regime for the individual skin types. We can do a computerised skin analysis which also provides a photographic record of the progress.

The aim of treatment with THE SKIN PHARMACY’s anti-acne range is to reduce the number of the P. acnes bacteria (the bacteria responsible for causing acne), reduce the oil production as well as to get rid of excess cellular debris from pores and hence reduce clogging.

As the response to acne treatment is usually very individualised, at THE SKIN PHARMACY, we can adjust the dose or recommend appropriate products based on the response.

Continued use is recommended even after acne clears up to prevent the growth of the P.acnes bacteria population. Successful results may require months of treatment especially in more severe cases. At THE SKIN PHARMACY, the pharmacist will provide a follow-up care for you.

THE SKIN PHARMACY's anti-acne range is free of colour, fragrance, parabens and artifical preservatives. They are oil-free and non-comedogenic.

• SKIN RENEWAL ANTI-ACNE FACIAL WASH:

Contains natural glycolic and lactic acid to encourage skin desquamation. Also contains Zinc PCA to reduce sebum production. Use the facial wash with water to wash the face twice daily.

• SEBUM REDUCING ANTI-ACNE TREATMENT TONER:

Contains salicylic acid for exfoliation and Zinc PCA for reducing sebum production and pore size. Apply the toner with a cotton pad to the acne-affected areas.

• ACNE CLEAR (FORTE/LITE) GEL:

Contains a well-proven ingredient for the treatment of acne - benzoyl peroxide. Available in three different strengths in a non-oily base. The pharmacist will assess the severity of the acne and recommend the most appropriate strength. Treatment may need to be adjusted during the programme to ensure the best results.

• ACNE CARE GEL:

A maintenance and prevention products containing 13 herb extracts. Helps to reduce swelling and inflammation of acne skin. Also contains Zinc PCA for oil control.

• ACNE CLEAR MASK:

A soothing mask which helps to absorb oil and impurities. Contains salicylic acid, resorcinol and sulphur to remove acne and encourage skin renewal.

• ANTI-ACNE INTENSIVE SERUM:

A special serum for the treatment of acne. Contains natural ingredients which help to kill bacteria, reduce inflammation and reduce oil production.

It is advisable to continue the products for at least 4-6 weeks to see an improvement in the overall condition.
